Draw the ink and let it flow,
Only one more page to go.
Burning oil, you’ve lost some sleep;
Frugal means are never cheap.

Fight the lids of heavy lead
Melting on your new-made bed.
Rise of wonder, loss of sight,
Will you plummet like a kite?

Floating errant on the sea,
Awash in fetal harmony,
Helpless drifter, unaware,
Cannot finish – doesn’t care.

Rays of dawning burst your blind
Shocking senses, reeling mind.
Frozen hand still clutches pen.
Logic states, “You’ve failed, again.”
